In our efforts to bring you the best library service possible, the library has joined the Libraries of Middlesex Automation Consortium (LMxAC). During the transition, we will be unable to accept any holds between May 15 and May 31. Please note that holds placed directly by patrons during that time will also be lost. We are sorry for this inconvenience and look forward to coming back better than ever on June 1.

We are pleased to announce that the firewall for the library's computer network will be undergoing a major upgrade on Wednesday, May 31. Unfortunately, this will require the shutting down of our Internet network for a period of approximately two hours, most likely to occur between 1:00 and 3:00 PM. It is possible that subsequent sporadic outages may occur up until about 5:00 PM that afternoon. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

From May 26th - 31st, as we transition into our new system, we will continue to be able to check out library materials but will not be able to perform any other functions, including item check in, processing of payments; updating existing library cards, registering new patrons, or looking up anyone’s account. PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR LIBRARY CARD with you as we will need the barcode number on your card to be able to check anything out to you on these two dates.

Consider making a book or monetary donation

People wishing to make donations of lasting significance to the library may want to consider sponsoring a star on the library’s recently established donor wall. Located just inside the front lobby at the library's main entrance, the donor wall includes small ($250), medium ($500) and large ($1,000) stars on which a name can be engraved in someone’s honor or memory.

People interested in making smaller gifts may do so through the library’s popular “adopt an item” program in which a book on a favorite topic or by a favorite author (or a DVD or CD) can be purchased and an inscription plate attached in someone’s honor or memory. It is requested that donations be made in an amount which will cover the cost of purchasing the item(s) to be designated in someone’s honor or memory.

To make a donation, please contact Library Director Dale Spindel at 973 376-4930, ext. 227
