Exhibit of Paintings by Springfield Artist Wayne Masiello on Exhibit at the Springfield Library July 15 through August 29 Paintings by longtime Springfield resident Wayne Masiello will be on exhibit in the Donald B. Palmer Museum from Monday, July 15 through Thursday, August 29. A reception for the artist will be held in the museum from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM.
Following a long and varied career that included a degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, certification as a Journeyman Typesetter, plus 25 years as a member of the Springfield Fire Department, including the last two years as Fire Chief, Masiello returned to painting after a long hiatus. He currently works mainly with oils on large canvases, focusing on buildings and streetscapes. His work has been displayed in a variety of venues, including the High Line in New York City.
