Teens ages 14+ are eligible to volunteer at the Springfield Free Public Library. Volunteers are expected to plan, assist, and/or lead public programs for teens and/or children. Shelving opportunities will be available to prospective volunteers and will require applicants to complete a shelving assessment. Those interested in volunteering for the library can pick up a volunteer application from the Youth Services Department, in-person.
Please understand that volunteer positions are limited and that the library cannot accommodate everyone seeking community service hours.
