Really Good Book Discussion: All the Pretty Horses

Springfield Free Public Library's (Really Good!) Book Discussion Group will meet on Thursday, February 27th at 1 p.m. to discuss Cormac McCarthy’s All The Pretty Horses.

(Summary) Cut off from a life of ranching by his grandfather's death, John Grady Cole flees to Mexico. He and two companions find work but soon run afoul of the law. Winner of the National Book Award (1992). This is book #1 of McCarthy’s “Border Trilogy”, followed by The Crossing (1994) and Cities of the Plain (1998).
