(POSTPONED) Children’s and Young Adult Book, Jewelry & Watch Sale
Saturday, March 28, 2020, 10:00am - 04:00pm

The Friends of the Springfield Free Public Library will hold their Children’s and Young Adult Book Sale on Thursday, March 26 through Sunday, March 29. The sale will be in the Lobby Meeting Room at the Springfield Free Public Library.

Sale Hours:
Thursday, March 26: 10am to 6pm
Friday, March 27 & Saturday, March 28: 10am to 4pm
Sunday, March 29: 1pm to 3:30pm

In addition to children’s and young adult books, the sale will include educational toys, adult soft cover and coffee table books, DVDs, and a small collection of costume jewelry and watches. Donations of these items are needed and always welcome yearlong during business hours at the Library’s Circulation Desk. Before donating any items, please ask yourself:

-  Are the items soiled?
-  Are they damaged?
-  Have the items been stored in a damp area?
-  Are the books out of date?

If the answer is yes to any of these questions, PLEASE DO NOT DONATE THEM. They are not saleable. All donations should be clean and in good condition. No Hardcover Adult books, text books, or encyclopedias please. The Friends also accept donations of recent (last 3 months) popular magazines.

During March, a special display of jewelry will be featured for sale in the display cases in the circulation area of the library. Patrons may purchase these items prior to our sale by arranging a meeting with a Friends member only. Simply leave your name & phone number with a staff member at the circulation desk or email your information and request to This email address is being protected from spambots. The Friends are a 501c3 non profit organization. All proceeds benefit the Springfield Free Public Library. In 2020, the Friends plan to provide almost $20,000 to our library for programs and materials. These funds are raised through membership dues, sales, and contributions. All donations are tax deductible.

If you would like to become a member of the Friends, membership forms are available at the library and can also be printed off from the library’s web site: springfieldpubliclibrary.com. Completed forms and dues are accepted at the Circulation Desk or they may be mailed to the Friends at the Springfield Free Public Library, 66 Mountain Ave., Springfield, NJ 07081.
